15.7mm low relaxation prestressed steel strands are the main building materials in prestressed concrete structures. They are made from high-carbon steel wire rods through cold drawing, twisting and stress relaxation stabilization treatment. They are commonly composed of 7 steel wires twisted together, with a diameter of 15.7mm and a cross-sectional area of approximately 191.8mm². The tensile strength of this steel strand exceeds 1860MPa, and the breaking load is over 357kN. Under a 70% nominal stress and at 20℃, the relaxation rate within 1000 hours is no more than 2.5%. When subjected to long-term stress, the prestress loss is extremely small. It can be equipped with galvanized, epoxy coating or HDPE sheath to enhance corrosion resistance.
